1. What motivated you to create a book review blog?
I love to read; I’ve been reading and recommending books for some time now. I created my blog as a way to share my reviews of books with my friends that live all over the world.
2. What do you find most rewarding about book reviewing?
The community! Book bloggers are amazing people.
3. What types of books do you review?
All types of fiction. My “favorites” are popular fiction, indie books, and horror fiction
4. In what genre do you consider yourself to have the most expertise?
Popular fiction and horror.
5. Is there any type of book that you absolutely will not review?
Typically, I don’t like to review non-fiction books like cookbooks, etc.
6. Do you accept submissions from self-published authors?
Yes!
7. Do you accept PDF versions or e-books for review?
Yes! I have a Sony Reader so I am able to read pdfs on the go!
8. Can an author guest blog for you?
Yes
9. Do you host book giveaways?
Yes
10. Do you interview authors?
I haven’t yet, but I am willing.
11. Do you ever host stops on an organized book tour?
Yes, I’ve done two so far, have three more planned in the next month.
12. What is the average turnaround time for a review, from the time the book arrives in your mailbox until the review is posted?
It depends on the release date of the book, typically I post my review the week before or the week of a book’s release. If an author or publicist has asked for a different timeline then make sure I follow through with their request.
13. Do you cross-post reviews to Amazon or other sites?
Yes, I post on Amazon
14. Will you notify an author by email when a review is posted?
Yes
15. Do you have any specific requirements for review submission?
No
16. Where can authors submit review queries and to whom should they be addressed?
